SERENDIPITY:

DISCOVERY, CHANCE OR INVESTIGATIVE SKILL?

14. April – 17. April 2016 9:00 bis 17:00

The Ideal Material Intensive Serendipity Workshop with IKUIKTINKA

After an intensive week of collaboration with the scientists and technologists of the Institutes of Polymer Engineering (IKT) and Polymer Nanotechnology (INKA) at FHNW Brugg/Windisch, Nici Jost, Dawn Nilo, Maeva Rosset and Yota Tsotra, Master students and the Art Institute (IKT), will continue their research on the Ideal Material in Der Tank. For four days, they will use the space as a laboratory, investigating new possibilities with the materials developed in the labs of IKT/INKA. They will restudy their lab books and revisit the discussions with the staff of IKT/INKA on questions of the Ideal Material.

If there was this possibility, that great scientists around the world could collaborate, under truly scientific freedom and unlimited budget, what would be the profile of the Ideal Material to work towards for? If as humanity, we could choose one material, how this material would look like? Which would be its properties?
