Haris Epaminonda was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1980. She now works and lives in Berlin. Epaminonda works with a variety of media such as video, film and installation. Upcoming solo exhibitions include Le Plateau in Paris and Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo in Seville as well as group shows at Fondazione Giuliani , Kunsthalle Lissabon and TENT, Rotterdam amongst others. She has recently been the recipient of the Preis Der Günther-Peill-Stiftung 2014 and the public choice award for the Preis Der Nationalgalerie für Junge Kunst 2013. Epaminonda has had recently solo shows at Kunsthaus Zürich, Modern Art Oxford, Point Center for Contemporary Art and Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice. Previous solo shows include Tate Modern London, Museum of Modern Art New York, Schirn Kunsthalle, Malmö Konsthall as well as group exhibitions at Museo Tamayo, The Front Room, Contemporary Art Museum St Louis; dOCUMENTA(13), Badischer Kunstverein, Renaissance Society, New Museum NY; 5th Berlin Biennale as well as the 52nd Venice Biennale.
