Elfi Turpin is a curator. She has been director of CRAC Alsace – Centre Rhénan d’Art Contemporain, Altkirch, France, since 2012, where she has curated a variety of exhibitions, including Elisabetta Benassi, Smog a Los Angeles (2013); Anti-Narcissus (2014); together with Filipa Oliveira, Der Leone Have Sept Cabeças (2014); Daniel Steegmann Mangrané, Animal que no existeix (2014); Sophie Nys, Ein Tisch ohne Brot ist ein Brett (2015); Musa paradisiaca, Alma-Bluco (2015); Natalie Czech, One Can’t Have It Both Ways and Both Ways Is the Only Way I Want It (2016) ; La liberté sans nom (2016) ; together with Victor Costales, Zigzag Incisions (2017) ; Jarbas Lopes, e’a’u’ (2017), among others. Located in Altkirch, close to Switzerland (Basel) and Germany (Freiburg), CRAC Alsace is an art centre dedicated to research, experimentation and creation, which through the conception of exhibitions, publications and educational activities, aims to support artistic production by encouraging creative encounters between audience, artists and artworks. Deeply anchors locally, the art centre plays an active role nationally and internationally.
