Jeronimo Voss (b. 1981) lives and works in Frankfurt am Main. Since autumn 2016, he is a teacher for Installation Art and Time-Based Media at the Institut Kunst HGK FHNW Basel. His projects were exhibited at Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam (2016), Der Tank Basel (2015), Bielefelder Kunstverein (2014), MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt am Main (2013); as well as in various group shows of international organizations such as Clark House Initiative Bombay (2016), Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin (2013), Vienna Secession (2013), Kunsthaus Bregenz (2011) and MOCA, Belgrade (2010). His full-dome-animation Eternity through the Stars premiered in 2012 in the Planetarium of the Orangery in Kassel as part of dOCUMENTA (13). He is part of the Realism Working Group, that in 2015, together with architecture office Dogma, presented a communal housing model for artists at the House of the World’s Cultures (HKW) in Berlin.
Jeronimo Voss will speak about how his installations of time-based media turn into conflict with physical, economical and subjective conceptions of time and space. And how this practice develops from collaborations with agents of various different backgrounds such as Astronomy, Software Development, Art and Everyday Life.
